For the second year IES had the opportunity to partner with VIP Pageantry to produce and livestream the Miss Earth USA pageant, an event that helps influential young women gain experience and recognition for their achievements. The Miss Earth USA pageant is the official preliminary to Miss Earth, one of the planet's top international pageants. All Miss Earth USA delegates commit themselves to bringing awareness to and making an impact on environmental causes around the globe.
How IES Contributed
The 2022 Miss Earth USA national competition events took place January 6th to the 9th at the Linda Chapin Theater and Rosen Plaza Hotel at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando, Florida. IES contributed in various ways throughout the weekend to make sure the show went smoothly whether guests were attending in person or via livestream. Our team packed up gear and headed to Orlando on January 4th to begin assisting with preparations for the event. We helped set up the stage and video walls for the start of the show on January 6th and created the live stream for over 1500 users, via the VIP Pageantry website. Members of our team were in charge of all camera work for the livestream in order to make sure viewers were able to see all of the competition including activewear, runway, and evening wear preliminaries, followed by the final judging and final coronation.
The Winner
The title of Miss Earth USA 2022 went to Miss Pennsylvania Earth, Natalia Salmon. Natalia is a mental health advocate and active community volunteer. She founded Squad Limitless to help younger generations become more self-aware and raise self-confidence by building their emotional intelligence through age-appropriate workbooks. In Fall 2022, she will represent the USA at the international Miss Earth competition based in the Philippines. Congratulations Natalia!
